About the Department

The mission of the Urdu Department is to promote the intellectual, creative, and mental development of students and researchers while fostering a deep and lasting interest in the study of the Urdu language and its rich literary heritage.

Through the study of classical and modern literature, linguistics, and criticism, students are prepared to understand social, cultural, and national issues. The department aims to equip graduates with the knowledge and research skills required to meet national needs and to actively participate in academic and research initiatives globally.
